The results page changed, the job did not disappear

  • Technical health: fast, crawlable, well-structured sites
  • Topical authority: real depth on the subjects you want to own
  • Genuine helpfulness: content that answers the question fully
  • Trust signals: expertise, sources and a credible brand

What to adapt

Format for extraction: clear answers, descriptive headings and structured data so you can be pulled into Overviews. Target questions, not just keywords. And measure beyond clicks: impressions, presence in Overviews and assisted conversions tell the real story now.

Overviews reward the same things

AI Overviews largely draw on the same authority and relevance signals as classic ranking. Strong SEO foundations are the price of entry, not a separate game.
